Trees for Climate - Year 1 - Impact

TFCYr1

Here is England's Community Forests Year 1 Report (Dec 20-Mar 21) showing us the wide ranging impacts of our collaborative Trees for Climate woodland creation projects.... bringing benefits to populations, communities, biodiversity, wildlife corridors, nature recovery networks, climate and more.

TREES FOR CLIMATE YEAR 1 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

ENGLANDS COMMUNITY FORESTS TREES FOR CLIMATE PAGE

446 hectares of trees were planted by England's Community Forests through Trees for Climate from December 2020 to March 2021.

This means we funded and supported through Trees for Climate a whopping 20% of all new tree planting across England.

Over the course of their lifetime, 97,680 tonnes of carbon will be sequestered by these trees.

But this is just the beginning! This year we will be quadrupling the planting in the Forest of Avon.....

We are working on our data for year 1 and year 2 to show local impact and where Trees for Climate (and other) woodland, orchard, hedgerow and all other planting is happening across the Forest of Avon.
