The Forest of Avon Community Forest Path is a 45 mile walking route that circles outer Bristol taking in the four unitary authorities of Bristol, B&NES, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset and the beautiful views, trees and woodlands across the region.
We do not own the land or footpaths but our volunteers help with parts of the trail and signage across the year.
Across 2021 and beyond we will be looking at how we can provide fresh walking maps and leaflets to promote the trail more and we will be walking the full trail ourselves, when restrictions allow, to report back on the experience! In the meantime here is a wonderful feature on the Trail from Steph Wetherell of the Independent just published in February 2021.
The challenging Green Man Ultra event uses the community forest route for their events!
Please refer to Covid 19 restrictions currently in place.
Third party links are here with maps of the route.
PLEASE NOTE: We cannot currently guarantee these are fully up to date or that the route is fully open during the current Covid 19 restrictions.
